New Life Christian Camp Disc Golf Course
About the course
This is the flagship course for SCDG and the first of its kind in Rushville, IL. Our vision is that this will be a beginner and family friendly par 54 course that represents our community pride and local school spirit. Every hole is designed to encourage the fundamental skills that every disc golfer needs, while still being just difficult enough to give a seasoned player a challenge. The course is set on approximately 4 acres of open and wooded terrain at the New Life Christian Camp Ground in Rushville. It's maintained by the New Life Christian Camp with the help of SCDG and our volunteers. This is private property but the camp is kind enough to make it open to the public while camp facilities are not in use.
Phase 1 - Course clean up
✔ Remove old tee boxes and posts
✔ Clean up brush and overgrowth in fairways
Phase 2 - Making the course playable
- Install new baskets (in progress)
- Level and install concrete tee pads
- Build retaining wall for hole 13 green
- Safety lattice on holes 12 & 13.
- Repair existing bridges
- Install signage
Phase 3 - Final projects
- Build a pedestrian bridge for hole 9.
- Build a pedestrian bridge for hole 2.
